4/5 I liked it, not my typical genre but still good.

Re: dubstep, I am convinced that you could take the sound of a modem dialing up, multiply the bass, and have instant dubstep, and I think that reveals enough of my opinion on the subject.

Thank you for destroying my sub-woofer. Sounds like a modern take on Lowrider, turning the low voice and bass parts. Or just a song by Billy Gibbons ( low voice parts in Nickleback-Rockstar for example), I am not sure if he was the singer for for Lowrider but maybe.

Not something I would listen to as too much hard bass destroys my brain, yes even this song is too much.

That said I found it quite good, considering I was thrown into deep water in this genre, I'm not even sure what genre it is, but anyway the bass and vocals of the lead singer were smoothing and made me feel relaxed.

so 4.5/5

That is true, but to appreciate dubstep you have to examine higher quality samples of dubstep. Lazily done dubstep is awful and should be recognized as such. On the other hand, producers such as Chase and Status and iBenji blend genres and create masterpieces of noise.

I was pretty disappointed when I first listened to Foxy Shazam. Almost as disappointed as I am when people post songs and then never get rated, like poor old FBC there.

The Isley Brothers get a 4.5/5, +.5 for the presence Awesome Dancing Black Dudes throughout the video.

Foxy Shazam gets a 1.5/5 because at least they're not Enter Shikari.

At first I was like 'WHOA THIS IS LIKE YELLOWCARD <333' and then I was like 'OH GOD WHAT IS THIS EUROPOP BEAT' and then I was like 'OH GOD WHY IS IT ALL SCREMO ALL OF A SUDDEN NOOOOO' then I was like 'WHOA THIS IS REALLY CRUNKY GRIMY RAP IT'S PRETTY GOOD' and then I was like 'SCREMO GET THE FUCK OUT OF HERE' and then I was like 'MOAR YELLOWCARD? WHOOAAA'. It's like the song didn't know what it wanted to be so it decided to be everything.

This thread needs more The Aquabats! Fun fact: the lead singer co-created Yo Gabba Gabba and he is now a producer of children's shows. He recently created a pilot for a cartoon, which The Hub has signed for 13 episodes and will premier this fall. EXCITING.

I love Mika. His vocals are utterly fantastic and the arrangement is interesting to listen to.

Now, for a local band. I saw these guys (I've seen them multiple times before) most recently at a local show in Brooklyn.

I hated every second of that song, but I added a half point because someone might enjoy it. Just not my thing. At all.

Fun fact: as much as I like this song, I actually dislike most of the other stuff this band makes. But here you go. The beginning might turn you off, but keep listening.
