Hey chaps...

Just completed a rough version of my first character model.
The character model is derived from some random concept i found on the net.

Props to Blake Lowry (I'm assuming thats his name)

And here is a (not so) great render of the model:

I think the models strong point is his legs and the weaker points being his head, arms and hands, which i hope to improve on in the future.

The model will be skinned by me. But not just yet... im having troubles with zbrush and my .obj.

So feed back on the model is welcome, also if you have a colour scheme you want the soilder in or you think you have good idea's for the texture's etc, post.

More Models to come soon.

Thanks

Nice work I agree the legs do look the best for some reason.

Good to have you back kenshi.

I like the legs and the head mostly just not the mouth guard it seems like it wouldn't be practicle in real life, The only other part I don't like how the arms look like they don't have armour on them, but otherwise I love the model completely. Great work kenshin.

One I dropped acid and blacked out, when I came around it turned out that I spent the last eighteen hours playing Silent Hill 3, beat it with a decent score actually.

He looks like he is dancing. I'm not sure if that is positive or not.

I did it the way the concept art is, though i think its just the suit that makes him look fat. Tongue

Was that done in XSI? And if so, how did you do that okayish clay render? I can never get decent clay renders done. And the concept art, did you draw it on a computer or draw and scan in?

Looks good by the way, almost done UV mapping it?

Follow that link OTMZ gave, but it doesnt turn out so well on the new versions of xsi. As you can see in my render some parts don't look so well.
