I smell trouble... trouble in terrorist town

The Zombie Master source code (for ZM 1.2.1) has been released under the MIT license. In short, this means you can make code changes to ZM and release them, or build a new mod on top of the ZM code, and more.

For a more complete overview of what you can and cannot do, what tools you need, and other things you should know, check out the README text, which is available here and included in the download.

The code can be downloaded here: (last update to release: 13-06-'09)
Zombie Master source code self-extractor (10MB, 7-zip self-extractor, easiest)
Zombie Master source code archive (19MB, zip, use 7-zip to extract if you have problems and don't trust the above .exe)

Yee haw.

So is this damn game good or not? All I see on this page is a lot of talk of dicks and Joest rambling on about their taste or something.

Coolio.

I love cats. My cat ambushed me when I got out of the shower and attacked my dick.

What did you learn?

When I extract the files, an error sounds off and the files don't show up. It says "unknown method" and only the folders show up. I think a kitten just died.

The downloaded zip should be 18.6 MB (19,518,773 bytes) as reported by windows in the file's properties.

You may also want to try using 7-zip to extract it, because that's what I used to compress it. I thought other unzip stuff worked on it too but it looks like it's hit or miss. That's what I get for using non-standard settings when compressing.

I'll see if I can add a download with more standard/foolproof compression without making it twice as big.

edit:
Added a self-extractor that should Just Work, has better compression, and seems to decompress faster to boot. I'll leave the zip link in for people who don't trust executables ever.

Using stock winzip works. I had errors with RAR and 7zip.

Quick question; Can you work with the code using Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Express Edition?

You would have to fix a potentially large number of errors caused by the changes that happened from VS 2003 to VS 2008. As it is, only VS 2003 (express or otherwise) will compile it without modification.
