After hearing that Cherno and Elektro are full of bandits in DayZ, I decided to head for the woods last night. Fearing to make myself a target by using flares, I traveled in complete darkness, I could only make out the tops of the trees against the starry sky. After a while, I found an enterable farm building, grabbed some beans and soda and logged off. When I logged in again today and left the farmhouse at day, it turned out I had run in a circle during the night as I was just outside Elektro again. -_-

Only then did the elves begin to suspect that the dwarves were not bringing any Amontillado.

I.... have a confession. For the past week, I've been playing... WoW. I honestly really really like it now, mainly because they made leveling about 100x easier since I last played in 2009, I've gone up 20 levels in one week. I've even found a guild that's full of people who aren't 12 and/or assholes. Overall, it's been a blast to get back into it, I'm pretty close to getting my main up to 85 and everything!

The cata expansion really improved things, such as leveling.

But will you still play it when PSO2 comes out?

That depends. I kinda want to wait until PSO2 is either A) officially released in the US or B) translated almost completely by some translation team before I start playing seriously

I never got the appeal of Phantasy Star Online. Perhaps I was a tad too young to fully appreciate it.

They really did make the leveling and questing easier and more enjoyable. The inclusion of the dungeon finder helps too, allowing you to quickly and easily find groups for the dungeons around your level. I've been playing the last few weeks. I just can't stand doing things at 85. Doing dungeons over and over isn't my thing, neither are the raids. But I will never forgive the developers for pushing this panda thing.

The panda's were in the Warcraft strategy games though.

They had a tiny, joke-like part. They were an April Fools joke because of how silly it would be. Now they are the focus of a new expansion. Makes me sick.

What? The pandaren brewmaster was a terrific hero.

He was an interesting character and unique hero. But focusing the expansion on the Pandaren just feels so lame. At least the Burning Crusade introduced two races with different goals and different mindsets. Pandaren are introduced as neutral and then forced to pick a side. They begin in there homeland, level up and pick a faction, and then they leave to go fight the battles of whatever faction they picked until level 85.

I would've much preferred a different direction. There are still major heroes from before Warcraft 3 that are still missing somewhere through the Dark Portal, there is still a demonic force hellbent on destroying the world, and there is still major shit to be settled between the human leader and the new Warchief. Hell, World of Warcraft has been out since 2004 and the Gnomes STILL haven't reclaimed their city for their own yet. Cataclysm brought the Worgen and their super-awesome zone of Gilneas, which is lost to the Undead. The entire expansion has gone by and no efforts are made to reclaim the city.

And instead, the developers push Kung Fu Panda and an in-game Pokemon ripoff.

Also, is the zombie mod for ARMA 2 worth the $20 it will cost me to get Operation Arrowhead? I only have ARMA 2, which I bought the day it released. I never got the expansion because my PC kind of sucked.

*Hint* you can get food from falling asleep, it's never anything that actually requires you to hurry.

Good to know, thanks.
I find myself often getting stuck for silly reasons, like in one hallway with 4 zombies. Feed zombie hide move, feed zombie hide move, feed zombie hide move, OH THERE WERE TWO ZOMBIES. NOW I'M STUCK.

Perhaps it's a mistake to attempt a pacifist run on the first playthrough?

Ok, so Bad King, you are just going to wait for Garry to fix?
What an idiotic thing to ask. Dammit weed.

Objectively I'd say no. The mod is still in alpha stage.
But subjectively I still like it. Great feeling of paranoia when you realize that other players are near and they might not be friendly.

I'd say that Operation Arrowhead is worth it even without DayZ.
