I've got that exact thing. The problem is finding fun DS games.
What do you have on there?

Didn't we have a thread on piracy some time back?

If you're willing to drop a bit of money, picking up some PC-compatible controllers works really well - at least with my Genesis, PSX and MAME emulator.

I borrowed my friend's PS3 controller. With a little bit of effort it works pretty well.
But if I were to buy something, I'd go with a wired 360 controller. Comfortable and lots of games/ emulators have built-in support.

I've got that exact thing. The problem is finding fun DS games.

I think I posted a list of good DS games a while back. Let me find it.

Edit: Got it.

Also, good DS games:
- Advance Wars (I prefer Days of Ruin to the others.)
- Animal Crossing (Call it kiddy if you want, I love the game.)
- Broken Sword: Shadow of the Templars
- Children of Mana
- Dementium
- Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor
- Elite Beat Agents
- Final Fantasy Tactics A2: Grimoire of the Rift
- Final Fantasy XII Revenant Wings
- Moon
- N+
- New Super Mario Bros.
- Ninja Gaiden Dragon Sword
- Picross DS
- Pokemon
- Sonic Rush
- GTA Chinatown Wars
- Chrono Trigger
- Mario Kart DS
- The World Ends With You
- Castlevania (I have Dawn of Sorrow, but the little I've played of the others was fun too.)
- Legend of Zelda (Both Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks.)

I've got two of them and they work great. Just don't get the wireless adapter one, because they have tons of issues and are terrible. They're also more expensive.

Also, good DS games:
- Advance Wars (I prefer Days of Ruin to the others.)
- Animal Crossing (Call it kiddy if you want, I love the game.)
- Broken Sword: Shadow of the Templars

A few of these I have yet to play and am interested in - GTA, Pokemon (the new ones, almost finished downloading them), Dementium - but for the most part DS games tend towards intensely Japanese. Either in terms of RPG - linear, slow paced, grind/collection or Action - pure reflex, etc. They can be fun, but they're not really my type of game. That's sort of the nature of the beast when it comes to the DS though, I suppose. Thanks for the list, though. I'll check the ones I haven't played yet out.

I'm also interested in Rune Harvest, which seems to be a Harvest Moon/RPG-dungeon crawl hybrid. I haven't played it yet, but if anyone has opinions would be appreciated.

I'd like to add Professor Layton and Fire Emblem to that list. Also, Kirby: Canvas Curse is a boss game

This is the most illegal thread we've ever had ever.

It's not illegal if you own a copy of the game. For instance, I've been playing Chrono Cross on my computer because I don't feel like getting out the Playstation in my brothers room to play it.

Also I don't think nintendo give that much of a shit about roms and emulators, otherwise they would be a bit more proactive.

Well they don't care, until it goes up on the Virtual Console on the Wii, that's when they care about specific roms.

Yes, but half the stuff everyone is talking about is games they don't have.

Barb, I had the same problem. I have a select few that I play consistently, like Chrono Trigger and New Super Mario Bros. But I do like having them all in one card rather than in 14 different ones. And I tried Rune Harvest but I really couldn't get into it. It's really, really slow.

I don't think nintendo likes ROMs though. They recently filed a lawsuit against the company that I bought my R4DS card from because they distribute ways for people to play pirated games or something.

I want to find a good Atari Jaguar emulator so I can play the games of my childhood. I remember Aliens vs Predator was scary as hell because not only was I eight at the time, but the aliens make no sound as they run (!) and it took forever to turn around when they started eating your skull.
